What do I need to create my own cassette tape?
I know this question sounds dumb but I need some help. There are a number of different selections from spiritual books that I would like to listen to on tape while I am falling asleep.
I have purchased some CDs that have been very disappointing. Rather than guided mediations or spiritual readings, the CDs are an audio of a speaker giving a “talk” to a group of people. I’m not interested in the audience questions and disruption. Luckily, I purchased the CDs and tapes I have now used so I paid very little for them.
I decided that I would create a selection of meditations and spiritual readings that I want on tape. Rather than my own voice, I would prefer my sister’s but I will deal with that once I understand what to do.
What equipment do I need to purchase? I assume some type of recorder but are there different kinds? If so, what is best for my use? Where do I buy it?
what ever recorder you get, i wud suggest one with a seperate MIC input jack… for better quality, i mean u cant talk around the tape recorder for long periods. ny recorder will do the job.. actually tape recorders are really cheap now a days… pick up somthin fancy with a remote and all…
this is all u need..and easily avaliable from hardware stores. i mean electronic shops… eg radio shack, sony
a tape player that records, a mic preferbly, and a CASSette!

Journey of Souls: Case Studies of Life Between Lives $10.18 Journey of Souls is a controversial yet inspiring investigation of the big question we all face at one point or another: “What happens after we die?” To find the answer, Newton opens cases from his private practice in which he hypnotically regressed his clients to a point between lives–after death, but before birth. Not only does Newton grapple with reincarnation, the spirit world, and the … |

What’s So Amazing About Grace? $6.95 Mention the word “grace” and what immediately comes to mind for most of us is a bagpipe wailing the solemn notes of “Amazing Grace.” The grace of which Philip Yancey writes is the freely given and unmerited favor and love of God. This grace seems a remote, almost sentimental concept, without a place in our lives or our society. It is a vague, slippery thing to us, probably because we seem… |

AA history and early Christian roots
How have forgotten, and how they can contribute to recovery today

Learn about
I am one of tens of thousands (probably hundreds of thousands) Christians who deeply appreciate the recovery of alcoholism and addiction as Alcoholics Anonymous possible in our lives. We were criticized by many to mention Jesus Christ and the Bible in our discussions at the meetings. But most of us know God than our competition. We pray for him in the name of Jesus Christ. And we're back.
Many of those who are Christians God is not involved in AA, the achievements of his Son Jesus Christ and the truth about two in the Bible. Many of us, as members of Christian Alcoholics Anonymous, I had no idea that early AA was a Christian fraternity that its members believe in God, is Jesus Christ, and studied the Bible daily. Many did not have any idea that the first Christian-oriented AA requested a success rate of 75% in general among the "apparently desperate," medically incurable " "The last breath alcohol matter who completed the program, and Pioneer AA. And many of us never learned that the original program is summarized quite Akron While on page 131 of the AA General Service Conference-approved book, DR. BOB and the pioneers.
How is that many of us could be aware of these data?
The answer, in part, is that since the first edition of AA Big Book manuscript was being written and published in 1938 and early 1939, many additions, omissions, changes were made in the highly successful program Bill W. Christian Akron and Dr. Bob began to develop during the summer of 1935. For example, as Bill W. 166-67 quoted in the Conference Services approved by the general book of AA, AA age:
We [Bill W. and P. Hank, Ruth Hock, John Henry and Mr. Fitzhugh] have been arguing about the Twelve Steps. While therefore refused to give in these steps. Would not change a word of initial project, which, remember, I have always used the word "God" and in one place the phrase "knees" was used. Praying to God in my knee was still a huge insult to Henry. He argued, prayed, threatened. He cited Jimmy [B-that is, Jim Burwell] to save. . . . Although at first I did not want to hear about it, we are finally starting to talk about the possibility of compromise. . . . In the second step, we decided to describe God as a "Power greater than ourselves." In steps three and ONCE has introduced the term "God as we understood Him. In the seventh stage we removed the words "knee…. The final awards were those of little faith or not, this has been the great contribution of our atheists and agnostics. [Emphasis added]
Statutes Bill W. women spoke of another big change on page 113 of his autobiography, Lois remembers:
Finally, it was agreed that the book should present a universal spiritual program, not a specific religion, because all the drunks not Christians.
These significant changes in the original Akron AA Christian Community "hidden agenda the simplest solution Pioneers AA in Akron discovered, more specifically, that the cure of alcoholism was available based on Almighty God, to come to Him through His Son Jesus Christ, and reading and studying the Bible with other principles and practices of the early days. [For a summary of Frank Amos AA Akron Original "Program", and other principles and practices of the scholarship Akron, see: B. Dick and B. Ken, The Dick B. Christian Recovery Manual (Kihei, HI: Paradise Publications Research, Inc., 2009), 44-46, 49.]
The lesson of the first three AA
At the beginning of AA knew. They visited each other. They had the address book with phone numbers (if a member had a telephone) and the addresses of members. And they kept the lists show dates of sobriety and the history of the sobriety of its members.
75% overall success rate of early AA claimed was notable because it was beaten by Bill W. called the "seemingly hopeless," medically incurable "," last breath " cases that have given everything to God and received the blessing of healing and grant that followed. Bill W. Dr. Bob and many say it was "a cascade of failures." But there were no failures Falls real hardcore members who turned to God and gave the program everything they had.
A very historical record important is how the first three AA got sober at the end of 1934 and 1935. When are simple:
There was not a great book (Alcoholics Anonymous was published in April 1939);
There were twelve steps,
There were no Twelve Traditions;
There was drunkalogs and
There were no meetings "to" at least kind commonly observed in the present AA
The Creator of the heavens and the earth was there. See For example, Alcoholics, Anonymous, 4th ed.:
"My Creator" (page 13)
"My Creator" (76)
"Creator" (25 pages, 68, 72, 75, 83)
"A living Creator" (page 28);
"Creator" (page 56, 80 158)
"His love and the Almighty Creator" (page 161)
The Doctor "Great, Jesus Christ, was there. See, for example: Dick B., The Conversion of Bill W.: More on the role of creator AA children (Kihei, HI: Paradise Research Publications, Inc., 2006), 59ff.
The Bible (Dr. Bob often referred to as the "Good Book") was there. See, for example, page 13 of the General Service Conference-approved pamphlet AA, the co-founders of Alcoholics Anonymous (Item # P-53 available for reading online http://aa.org/pdf/products/p-53_theco-foundersofAA.pdf , Retrieved on 05/08/2009):
At that time, our stories have nothing to say. When we started the project of D. Law, no we had twelve steps, whatever, we had no traditions.
But we were convinced that the answer to our problems was in the good book. For some of us more the pieces that we found absolutely essential were the Sermon on the Mount, the thirteenth chapter of First Corinthians, and the book of James.
AA number one, Bill W., Mr. Silkworth he heard that Jesus could cure. Bill learned from his old friend Ebby Thacher drinking that Ebby had been on the altar of Calvary Rescue Mission, and rebirth, which Ebby told Bill that God had done for him (Ebby), Ebby could not by itself. The bill was to Calvary Church. Testimony was heard Ebby chair, and Bill decided that he too needed help and they need help even Ebby had received. Bill then to Calvary Rescue Mission altar, made a decision for Christ, wrote that he was born again for you, then decided to seek medical help "very well, "Christ. Deeply depressed and desperate, the bill provides for a city hospital where he drank was organized by Dr. Silkworth. The Towns Hospital, The law called for help, had a dramatic spiritual being "white light" experience, realized he had been in the presence of God in the Scriptures "(as Bill wrote more than 284 pages of language heart), and never drank again. The bill declared that he never doubted the existence of God. And his message has become "The Lord has healed from this terrible disease, and I just want to keep talking about it and tell people." (Alcoholics Anonymous, 4th ed., 191), No Big Book. N Twelve Steps. N Twelve Traditions. No drunkalogs. No meetings. All the power and love of God that the bill had sought out and proud.
AA Number Two, Dr. Bob S., – a Christian from his youth in St. Johnsbury, Vermont – praying for issuance on the carpet Home T. Henry Williams in Akron. Miraculously, the aid will be submitted very soon in the form of a visit by Bill W. in Akron. Henrietta Seiberling said the visit of Bill to "mana of heaven. Bill was quickly passed with Dr. Bob and his wife, studied the Bible with them, Dr. Bob and took care of one last short and frantic. The Dr. Bob never drank later and told the nurse at the city hospital and the bill he had discovered a cure for alcoholism. N ledger. N Twelve Steps. N Twelve Traditions. No drunkalogs. No meetings. All the power and love of God that Dr. Bob had sought and trusted. Dr. Bob closed his story in the great book with these words:
Your heavenly Father will not disappoint!
Bill W. and Dr. Bob found another drunk to help. They found three the number AA Akron hospitalized Attorney Bill D., also a Christian man. After Bill D. listen to what Bill W. and Dr. Bob had to share, Bill D. decided to instruct his life to God's attention. Soon, when Bill W. and Dr. Bob returned to the hospital, Bill D. I told them what had happened. Bill D. then left hospital a free man and never to drink again. He said they are drunk to help others, and do. N ledger. N Twelve Steps. Number Twelve Traditions. No drunkalogs. No meetings. All the power and love of God that Bill had sought and relied OC. Bill D. found himself echoing the statements of Bill W. on page 191 of the fourth edition Alcoholics Anonymous:
The Lord healed me from this terrible disease, and I just want to keep talking and tell people.
Bill D. Bill W. is the statement 'Text' Gold AA "for himself and others.
It These three stories show us today
Three men! The first three members of AA. All healed by the power of God never to drink again!
What they have done is little known today by AAS and rescue workers. I know, I spoke and wrote about it before the public through U.S. and Canada, in person, in books, articles, emails, phone calls, and radio and television. But is the message they seem hungry to hear.
These first three AA recovered by the power of God. Because of his experience in other seemingly hopeless, "" medically incurable "," The last breath alcohol case closely followed the initiation of Akron AA Christian Fellowship program path, were able to regain the power of God. But what I want in particular the reader is far from this discussion is that what was done in 1935 and the next three years can be done and is doing today.
Today advantage to know "by the pioneers of AA
I support AA resumed immediately when I entered the rooms of AA in 1986 and have not relapsed since then. I had a full release alcoholism and drug abuse. I think the support I got from AA, the work I did in learning step by step recovery and help others to take these measures and the dedication that I had to complete AA. But I never doubted for a moment God will finally be given the credit, receive credit from the mouth of the first W. three AA-Bill, Dr. Bob S., D. and Bill
When a Christian AA is shaken by the intemperate comments of others about the Creator of heaven and earth, His Son Jesus Christ, the Bible, his faith or his church, which needs be strong in the actual recovery factor AA is available today, as was available in the Christian community founded in Akron in 1935. AA was based on statements like this: God can and would have done if he had been requested. Can. He will. Hay. And it is accessible to all drunk or high you want to search and obey Him. This was demonstrated in 1935. It is found today among Christians in the recovery that chooses to use their assistance. And his assistant for assistance from the Maker of heaven and earth, is pending loan call those who believe. Those in jails, prisons, mental wards, hospitals, AA, NA, other twelve-step fellowships, Armed Forces, facilities for veterans, homeless shelters, treatment programs, rehabs, detox and counseling offices. Any where! Anywhere!
