When i ask a religious question…lot of people quote spiritual books….why?
I was simply asking for your personal opinion and not whats written in the scriptures. Expressing personal opinion is very important in a free society. Why are many still bound and blinded by whats written in the books? So does religious book and belief in God make one limited, so much that he/she has to present his/her answers by quoting text from scriptures? Whats the idea behind this?
I have seen people copying and pasting three or four pages of answers from spiritual books but when someone give summary in two lines no one even try to read it .

I know this question sounds dumb but I need some help. There are a number of different selections from spiritual books that I would like to listen to on tape while I am falling asleep.
I have purchased some CDs that have been very disappointing. Rather than guided mediations or spiritual readings, the CDs are an audio of a speaker giving a “talk” to a group of people. I’m not interested in the audience questions and disruption. Luckily, I purchased the CDs and tapes I have now used so I paid very little for them.
I decided that I would create a selection of meditations and spiritual readings that I want on tape. Rather than my own voice, I would prefer my sister’s but I will deal with that once I understand what to do.
What equipment do I need to purchase? I assume some type of recorder but are there different kinds? If so, what is best for my use? Where do I buy it?
what ever recorder you get, i wud suggest one with a seperate MIC input jack… for better quality, i mean u cant talk around the tape recorder for long periods. ny recorder will do the job.. actually tape recorders are really cheap now a days… pick up somthin fancy with a remote and all…

Is there any form of meditation that does not involve any sort of spirituality?
I’ve browsed a few books and a few things online about meditation, but most if not all of them in one form or another involve spirituality. For example, one source said to burn incense but not to look too long at it because the burning would taint your soul or something like that.
Do you have any suggestions about where I can look into meditation tips that focus relieving stress and increasing focus in a practical fashion as opposed to a spiritual one?
Buddhist spiritually has invented number of meditations including the simplest breathing exercises. You can look it up for more info.
Buddhist spirituality doesn’t involve supernaturals, rather striving to cultivate good behavior within yourself.
In breathing meditation, you pay attention to your natural breathing in and out. After a while, you go in to a zone with only your attention to that and nothing else. It keeps you relaxed while doing it and bit afterwords too. To relieve stress completely, you need to train yourself how to identify your emotions and deal with them as they arise.

I would suggest reading the Qur’an, or at least its translation. Or maybe a biography of Prophet Muhammad? I’m a Muslim, and I would suggest such a thing. Both are my favorites.

Miss a week without reading the Bible, you know. Miss family a month without reading your Bible every day and you start to notice. Miss three months of the Word of God and true communion in Christ Jesus, and the world around you know.
This is not a theory. This is what happens and why a strong and wise pastor will close as possible to prevent this from happening to you. If this relates to your current situation, do something now before it becomes more serious.

Many people who have not reached maturity in the prophetic and gifted with the wisdom of God thinks that a prophet has more of a pastor and therefore should not undergo his pastor and his pastor is actually doing what they say. How do you confront someone about their “predatory” behavior? I know of someone who is taking a class on healing issues dealing with relationships. It’s done through a spiritual learning center…kind of like church. Well, she was approached by someone whom she felt carries the same energy that she is trying to get away from, or heal herself from. The “predator” is claiming to be coming from that “spiritual” place. You know the type. What would you do?

Because the first anwerer is right, he will just move to another person, and that is not ok. People need to get there voice back, so do you confront the person or ask the facilitator to facilitate?

Your friend needs to look at why she would be creating this person in her life. She is trying to break a cycle and until she discovers, and deals with, the reason for the cycle it will continue to repeat. In the short term she needs to make it clear that she wants nothing to do with this person. But in the long term she has a lot of self-relfection to do to figure out the cause for the attraction. If she is continually attracting these predatory people in her life then she must be wearing a sign that says ‘victim’. She has to figure out why and stop putting that message out to people. Predatory people only bother with those who display a weakness which can be exploited. Good luck.
