Journey of life… Journey through India
“Life is a journey and we all are travelers, playing our roles and accepting what comes our way.”
Traveling from one place to another for People in ancient days was very difficult and riskier than today. It used to take days, weeks and even months to reach far destinations. If we see now, within sixteen hours, we can reach U.S and within India it takes hardly five to eight hours to travel across. Among all the countries I always dreamt and wanted to visit India, a place where my grand parents were born.
India, a place of culture, humanism, spiritualism, romance, tasty savor, virgin beauty and above all, people with beautiful faces imbibed with clean hearts. People from far and wide come to visit this beautiful place in the world once designated as the ‘Golden Bird’. India is structured with twenty eight states and seven union territories. It has lot more to give to the guests who arrive with great expectations. India, a place with rich diversity and colors never lets its visitors leave in despair. However with a book on travel I set out to find the inner beauty of India.
While traveling across India, the most beautiful things that touched my heart were the simplicity of Punjab, the tasty zaikha of Kashmir with those mountain beauties flourishing green apples and blushing like the red ones, the manifesting veneration given in a nawaabi style in Lucknow, the presence of greatness in the capital city and eating away the tasty varieties of food in khao gali, the epitome of love, Taj Mahal of Agra which speaks about the intense love of Shah Jahan for Mumtaz Mahal.
Madhya Pradesh, truly the ‘Heart of India’ covering 308,252 km² with beautiful white marble rocks in Bhedaghat will definitely allure you. If you stay there till dusk you will find this marble rocks shining like stars. The ‘Creative culture of India ‘Kolkata once known as ‘Sutanuti’. The tasty river fish of West Bengal and how to forget the Rosogullas and misti doi. Calcutta… oops sorry…Kolkata was the place of all the intellectuals, it has given birth to Rabindranath Tagore, the first Noble Prize Winner, Bakim Chandra, freedom fighters like Subash Chandra Bose, Kudiram Bose, Jatin Das etc. Walking along the streets of North Kolkata the feeling of being a King runs through the blood. Places like Shova Bazar where all the rich and affluent people reside still have the same looks.
Coming to the North Eastern side, the seven sisters will definitely mesmerize you with their natural beauty. The chinki beauties with straight silky hair, the expensive orchids in all its varieties, the hundred and one traditional dances of the tribal communities. I must say the places of north east should be visited once in a while to feel the fresh air, admire the greenery and the twinkling waters that run down the stream.
Traveling from northeast towards south was quite tedious as I was coming down to the hottest places in India. The south of India covered with all the traditional mandirs issculpted and carved with figures of women in their different dancing postures. The different motifs and designs of flowers and the carving of God and Goddess. The states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh have hosted large amounts of guests from all over the world. Their simplicity and innocence has made them the most visited place by the foreigners. Bangalore is a developing IT park and Hyderabad is just following its footsteps.
To visit places like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan, the best time would be just after the rainy season. The colorful banjara dance of Rajasthan or the dandiya dance of Gujarat are amazing. It is worth watching the Lavni dances of the beautiful Marathi poris.India a country with rich diversity in terms of language, traditions, culture has been the cynosure of other countries. In my entire journey through India, the things that I learnt are: love, peace, tolerance, patience and simplicity.
Now you might be surprised how these virtues relate to the places; well then very simple – I learnt Love from Agra, peace from Kerala amidst the greenery, have taken the lessons of tolerance from Kashmir, to be patient from North Eastern states and simplicity from Punjab.
Really India has lot more to give. To Learn more about the places within India, LP- INDIA 13 by TRAVEL GUIDE would be an ideal book. You can also visit us at www.coralhub.com for ranges of similar books.
